I have completed my most recent project. I have been working with Jennifer Kieser, my Zumba instructor, on a promotional video for her classes. We decided we wanted to do something a little different adding twixtor and colour effects to the video but the main focus was on the class itself and how professional yet so much fun they are. She is a fantastic instructor and I had a lot of fun making the video which I directed, filmed and edited. Here it is!

Last year I worked with LoveLove Films on Andy Duerden’s Music Video for his song ‘Top Heavy Down’. It has been a long time in the making as the production had a very small budget. It was a great shoot to work on as it was something a little bit different with stop motion and tilt shifting the live action of real men painted as green and brown toy soldiers and a dolly wife. It’s been long awaited but is finally ready. Take a look. In April I assisted on the shoot of Yes Sir Boss's first ever music video for their song 'Not Guilty'. The shoot was great fun and a very interesting concept mixing 2D and 3D together with use of blue scene and live action and lots of after effects! So the making of was exciting in the studio and the beautiful location of Somerly house and hearing the band live was fantastic. Whilst on shoot I helped out with the behind the scenes footage and interviews with the band and crew. LoveLove are always interesting to work with coming up with new ideas with interesting animations and Yes Sir Boss were a great bunch of people. Here is the behind the scenes video, enjoy! Last year we filmed Andy Duerdens Music Video - Top Heavy Down at Lovelove Films. We spent a few days filming at the New Forest and the rest in the studio. The basic idea is that the actors are painted as green and brown soldiers making them look like toys. We shot on 5Ds with fast shoot remotes to make their movement have the effect of stop motion and toy figures. Eventually there is a battle and Andy the singer returns home to his wife. This part we green screened in the studio with Sarah Sole. A model house was made separately and she was shrunk down in post to fit in the house. The edit is well on its way and nearly ready which I am very excited to see. Hopefully I will be posting it up here shortly. In the mean time here are some production photos and the behind the scenes making of!

I assisted in shooting at the end of April for this interesting music video. The band were fantastic, talented and easy to get along with. We had an eventful two days. One we spent in the studio with the blue screen for the facial expressions for the animation and the other at Somerly House, a beautiful stately home, where we filmed the live action part of the video with the band playing live and tying up the baddie. The song has a strong message behind it too. The experience was great and having seen the test animation I had been looking forward to seeing its outcome. Hopefully soon the footage of the interviews and behind the scenes that I did will be up and we can see the making of! |
